وصف المنتج
All TROVET hypoallergenic diets are based on a single (animal) protein source and a single carbohydrate source and contain all the essential nutrients in optimal amounts.
The addition of a vitamin and mineral mix is not necessary. All of the TROVET hypoallergenic dietary food variants can be given for life.
- Prevents immunological reactions (food allergy) or non-immunological reactions (food intolerance) in the form of skin problems and/or digestive problems (diarrhoea, vomiting).
- Changing to a hypoallergenic diet will help to slowly reduce itching. This reduces scratching, rubbing and biting, which can cause secondary skin lesions.
It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion is sought before use. The recommended duration of use for Hypoallergenic (Venison) is initially 3-8 weeks. When the hypersensitivity symptoms disappear, Hypoallergenic (Venison) can be fed for life as a complete dietary food.

FAQ
What is the difference between Hypoallergenic food and Health food?
A characteristic of hypoallergenic diets is that these consist out of one carbohydrate source and one protein source. Hypoallergenic diets are often formulated with more exclusive and unique ingredients. For example: Hypoallergenic (Rabbit) contains the protein source rabbit and carbohydrate source rice. A maintenance food such as Adult or Sterilised is not suited as hypoallergenic diet. Healthy pets can always be fed a hypoallergenic food, but a patient with food allergy cannot always safely be fed a regular food.
Can hypoallergenic dog food cause allergies?
Hypoallergenic simply means less likely to provoke an allergic reaction. This means that hypoallergenic dog food has a decreased tendency to provoke an allergic reaction. But as anything can be an allergen, just because a food says it's hypoallergenic doesn't mean that it is suitable for your dog.
What is the difference between grain free and hypoallergenic dog food?
Grain-free food is typically just that - free from grains. However, not all grain-free foods will be hypoallergenic - often using ingredients such as beef, chicken and dairy - whereas not all hypoallergenic foods will be free from grain.
What are the benefits of hypoallergenic dog food?
Hypoallergenic dog food is all about eliminating the risk of allergies and intolerances. It uses unique proteins that aren't recognised by your dog's antibodies as being antigens, eliminating - or at least minimising - the risk of your dog suffering from an allergy.
Is hypoallergenic dog food healthy?
A properly hypoallergenic diet for dogs will result in a host of upsides for your dog, such as considerably reducing the risk of various health problems such as obesity, arthritis, blocked anal glands, periodontal disease, digestive issues, heart disease, and some kidney ailments.
What is hypoallergenic dog food made of?
Certain nutrients are commonly incorporated into hypoallergenic dog food to help alleviate the symptoms of an allergic reaction. These ingredients includeomega-3 fatty acids, Vitamins A and E, zinc, novel carbohydrates, and fiber.
Is venison dog food good for dogs?
Venison is packed with nutrients that support the health and well-being of your dog. Deer meat contains a high amount of B vitamins, giving your dog the energy they need. Dog food with venison also provides the perfect amount of zinc and iron to support a healthy immune system and organ function.
How can we stimulate the appetite of dog?
When your dog is suffering from lessened appetite is it possible to support your pet in different ways. Some tips that can help stimulate the appetite of your pet are:
- Mix food (dry as well as wet) with warm water, so the scent is released
- Do not offer cold food, always at least at room temperature
- Slightly heat the food
- Mix wet food of the same kind with dry food
- Pour home made bouillon (without added salt and seasoning) over the food
- Mix the food with meat (TROVET Unique protein)
When your dog has always been a decent eater and only recently developed a worsening appetite, it is always wise to.
Does the Trovet product range include a vegetarian diet?
The TROVET product range includes a vegetarian diet for dogs, Exclusion. This diet is prescribed by veterinarians for dogs with allergy related skin- and/or gastrointestinal symptoms, where it is expected that the cause lies in the diet. In most cases of food allergy, animal proteins are the cause. Exclusion is guaranteed to be free of animal products. Exclusion is a complete food for dogs, and thus can be fed for life. This diet can also be used to prevent uric acid stones in dogs.
